Why Most Digital Marketing Fails
Most digital marketing fails for a reason nobody puts on the invoice: it rents attention instead of building anything. Ads run, impressions accumulate, reports look busy, and the moment the spend stops, so does everything else. Nothing compounds. Nothing is owned.
The market doesn’t buy what it doesn’t trust
Before a founder or a procurement committee ever replies to you, they have already decided what you are. That decision is made from your website, your presence, the way your name shows up when they search it. This is perception, and it is designed, whether or not anyone designed it deliberately. Most businesses leave it to chance and then pay for advertising to shout over the result.
What compounds instead
The alternative is slower and far more valuable: design the perception, build the proof systems that make buying feel safe, and publish the thinking that makes you the default answer in your category. Perception, trust, authority. None of it disappears when a campaign ends, it accrues, like infrastructure, because that is what it is.
